General objectives
OG1. To develop and foster excellence in RD&I and to promote competence by attaining international recognised results.
OG2. To increase the participation of Romania in European level research by creating a research group with high-level scientific competence.
OG3. To improve the international visibility of Romania by increasing its contribution to advancement of knowledge and by training a critical mass of researchers in smart specialization areas.
OG4. To support and inspire the aspirations to excellence of Romania by increasing its research attractiveness.
Scientific objectives
OS1. To develop new nanofluids (NFs) based on thermal oil, polyethylene glycol (PEG) or EG, enriched with nanoparticles, and foster their use as advanced heat transfer fluids (HTF)
OS2. To develop experimental setup to test the new fluids
OS3. To increase the efficiency of heat transfer in heat exchange applications with about 15%
OS4. To save at least 10% of global energy consumption (refers to the synergy between the fluid and application) by implementing the new obtained HTFs in lab scale
OS5. To improve the performances of heat exchangers by minimizing their overall dimension with 10% and increasing the convection heat transfer by 15%
OS6. To advance TRL for nanofluids (up to TRL4-5)
